This is a relatively strong laser. The dot is quite visible in reduced light conditions at distances of several yards, especially with a pair of fresh batteries installed. In even darker settings, the beam is distinct and impressive, extending far off into the distance. The silver metal casing is attractively designed and has a weighty feel.
